About Eastern Power Training Institute

Eastern Power Training Institute (EPTI) is located at Sagarnagar, Visakhapatnam.

The training and capacity building programs of EPTI focus on enhancing the skills and competencies of APEPDCL employees of all classes and categories viz. O&M, Engineering, Accounts, Personnel and General and covers all cadres of employees from Junior, Middle and Senior levels.

The training programs are so designed to enhance the professional skills of its employees, enabling them to adapt to the ever-changing power distribution landscape.

Special programs for personality development, leadership, and teambuilding are conducted to upgrade problem solving skills and people management skills.

World class Training Infrastructure

APEPDCL has set up a training centre built with Green building technology. It meets the regulatory compliance of ECBC Code. The training centre has state-of-art facilities including Class rooms with excellent acoustics, Computer lab with Interactive teaching panel, and Power systems lab.

The Computer lab is fully equipped to handle training sessions on SAP, GIS, Smart Meters and in-house IT applications.

The Power systems lab houses all the line equipment like 11KV Circuit Breaker, RMU, and Transformers for various capacities, LT feeder pillar and LT service pillar. This provides ample scope for teaching and training on various aspects of Operation & Maintenance through live demo and hands-on-training.

Special Intervention

EPTI has introduced SURAKSHA Training programs at field level for Line staff along with their spouse / family member to bring awareness on Safety Consciousness and Financial Planning for the well being of APEPDCL employees and their families.
