1. How to apply for New Service Connection?

  • Registered document (Proof of ownership)
  • Wiring Certificate (Commencement and Completion) Without any corrections
  • Latest Municipal Tax payment receipt
  • Nearest Pole No (Below 30 mts)/area or adjacent SC NO/Area code
  • Passport Size Photos 2 Nos
  • Municipality/Panchayat Plan approved copy
  • Payment of required amounts
  • Application to be registered in person at nearest Customer service center
  • Consent letter for payment of necessary charges
*(All original copies must be produced at the time of registration for verification.)
*Service will be released within 48 hrs if lines are readily available

Note:
  • Building Height below 10Meters
  • Meter Board should be installed below 5 Feet from the ground level on the wall & Should project outside for taking reading
  • one service for one portion will be released
  • If The premises having already 3 services please specify
  • Permission letter from the G.V.M.C if Supply is required for Cell Towers & Hordings & Petrol Bunks.

2. How to apply for additional load (or) Phase Conversion?

Application in duplicate shall be registered in concerned CSC with the following documents in duplicate

  • Wiring Certificate (Commencement and Completion)
  • Latest Electricity bill with payment receipt
  • Consent letter for payment of necessary charges
  • Application to be registered in person at nearest Customer service center

3. How to apply for New service connections for a group house?

Application in duplicate shall be registered in concerned CSC with the following documents in duplicate

  • Individual Registered document (Proof of ownership)
  • Wiring Certificate (Commencement and Completion) Without any corrections
  • latest Municipal Tax payment receipts
  • Passport Size Photos 2 Nos (Of each consumer)
  • Municipality/Panchayat Plan approved copy
  • Building Height should be below 10Meters
(All original copies must be produced at the time of registration for verification)
  • Application to be registered in person at nearest Customer service center
4. How to apply for shifting of service?

Application for shifting shall be registered in concerned CSC with the following documents in duplicate

In all cases

  • Latest Electricity bill with Payment receipt
If to a different premises (in addition to above)
  • Wiring Certificate (Commencement and Completion)
  • Registered documents of old and new premises for proof of ownership
  • Latest Municipal Tax payment receipt
  • Municipal Tax Pass book Front page (Original receipt and pass book to be produced at the time of registration)
  • Latest Electricity bill with Payment receipt
  • Details existing location and new location
(All original copies must be produced at the time of registration for verification)

5. How to apply for dismantlement of my service?

Shall attend concerned CSC with the following documents in duplicate

  • Request letter addressing the concerned Asst. Engineer signed by the original consumer (In duplicate)
  • Latest clearance certificate obtained from AAO/ERO

6. How to apply for category change?

Application in duplicate shall be registered in concerned CSC with the following documents in duplicate

Application in duplicate shall be registered in concerned CSC with the documents specified in the application form (in duplicate)
Note: Signature of both the transferee and transferor on the application form at the specified place

8. How to apply for name correction on the bill?


Application in duplicate shall be registered in concerned CSC with the documents specified in the application form (in duplicate)

  • Latest Electricity bill with Payment receipt
  • Latest local body Tax payment receipt (showing the name as desired to be printed on the bill)

9. How to apply for HT service title transfer?


Application in quadruplicate shall be registered in concerned CSC with the documents specified in the application form (click here for application)
Note: Signature of both the transferee and transferor on the application form at the specified place

10. How do I know the details of my nearest call center?

11. What is Spandana initiative of APEPDCL?

It is a grievances redressal cell of Consumers of APEPDCL. It will be taken up by the CMD. This program is organized every Monday (except Holidays) at Corporate Office Head Quarters, P&T Colony, Seethammadhara, Visakhapatnam-13 from 10:30 AM. CMD will personally hear the consumer grievances. Registration number will be issued to the consumers for knowing further development or status of complaint.

14. How to know my approximate power consumption?

Customer can know the approximate power consumption by filling the form provided in Know your consumption option on the home page.

15. Will I have to pay charges even though I do not consume electricity in a month?

16. How to get refund of my security deposit?

After dismantlement of service, the security deposit will be adjusted against the arrears if any and balance will be refunded on representation to concerned ERO. Application may be submitted in the Customer Service Centre to get refund of security deposit, if any

17. How to get reconnection if my service is disconnected for less than 3 months?

After Payment of all the outstanding amount along with the Re-Connection Fees of Rs. 50/-, the Asst. Accounts Officer will issue the Re-Connection Order. Then only the Asst. Engineer will reconnect the Service.

18.Can I get back service connection live,If my service is disconn. more than 3 months?

No. After 3 months from the Disconnection date one month Notice will be issued for the outstanding dues. If the arrear amount is not paid, the issue of bills will be stopped and the meter will be removed, which amounts to termination of Agreement. After termination of the agreement the service cannot be made live. Clearance Certificate is to be obtained from concerned ERO for applying new connection only. .

19. How to avoid low power factor surcharge?

Surcharge is levied for Power factor less than 0.95. To maintain power factor at 0.95 and above, adequate rating of healthy capacitors shall be installed.
